Inspiring Dance Routines

Ok so Justin and I have become great fans of So You Think You Can Dance. We watch it faithfully every season. Just seeing how people can take a story or anything and put it into a dance is amazing. You can show any emotions by just dancing. Its so fun to watch people grow and also how many different dance styles there is out there. Last night though, there was two awesome performances. One was very moving emotionally, while the other was fun to watch but still had its moving moments.

First Melissa and Ade:

Beach Time!!!!!!!

Its been a great summer with lots of visits to the BEACH!! Last Thursday we went and borrowed our friends Expedition. After that we headed up to Amy's house and picked up her and the kids. Then we all went back to our house and had a slumber party. Next morning we woke up bright and early and got ready to head to the beach. The kids were all excited and couldn't wait to go. We packed donuts for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. Plus lots of snacks and drinks to keep us going.
For the first half of the morning the kids collected sea shells and played in the sand. When the water got warm they all went out into the ocean. Us adults took turns going out with them and watching our stuff on the beach as well. The kids loved it so much! We can't wait until we can go do it again together! Here is some pics of our GREAT time!

Where did Sarah go? I can barely see her in the big wave!

The kids loving the water.

Issy had to warm up after being in the water. She was super cold and the sun was in her eyes..so of course she had to take Mommy's sunglasses....cute!

4th of July

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Probably because I grew up in a small town where we got up every 4th by having the town shoot off cannons. Next we went out to the town park and enjoyed a yummy breakfast. We went to two parades, Moroni's and Mt. Pleasants. The floats are always filled with people you know and decorated very pretty. Plus they still throw candy out to the kids. After that parades we go back out to the park and have a little bbq lunch and let the kids enjoy a small carnival. To top off the night we get together with family and set off fireworks, and watch the towns fireworks as well. Its such an awesome time.

But sad to say I live in California now and need to find some way to make my 4th's just as great. Its taking some time to get the hang of where to go to celebrate and some of that is probably because we have moved alot. But hopefully we have found our place here in Riverside and can get the hang of things.

This year we just played it low key. We woke up and I made a nice pancake breakfast. Then we got everything together and went up to Kevin and Amy's. Kevin bbq'ed an assortment of meat in a smoker. It turned out awesome We just kicked it back let the kids slip n' slide and us adults got the food already and chatted with each other. It wasn't quite like I am used to having the 4th be. I did miss the fireworks too. We got carried away talking and totally forgot to go outside...our bad. But all in all we had fun. Thanks to all the men and women who serve our country so that we can stay free! Happy 4th Everyone!
