Hectic two weeks

Ok so its right down to the last two weeks before the cruise and everything decides to fall apart. We had a gopher come into our yard and make a mess of things. We had weird ants invade our extra room, our washer started leaking, then started to get stuck on the drain cycle, Justin's check engine light came on, this weird virus called 5th disease went around the house, my charger for my cell phone broke, and to top it off My sister's friend about bailed on her and wasn't going to come with her to California at the last minute. All of these things that kept happening was starting to worry me. Are we suppose to not go on the cruise..is this a sign? I think God was just trying to get every little problem out of the way before..so I could go on that cruise and enjoy every last bit of relaxation it had to offer. As it comes to 2 days before we leave..We caught the gopher, washer was fixed, the check engine light went off, the ants are no longer, hopefully this 5th disease has left, my new charger came and Britts friend is coming!! So say the least it has been an eventful week..I want to thank the couple people who were there to listen to me vent and tell me everything was going to be alright.. Mom, Britt, Julie, and Angie..thanks so much! Also my hubby, he just knew that I was stressed and didn't let my grumpy attitude affect him. We need this get away..lol. So as of Sunday Justin and I will be on our way to the mexican riviera basking in the sun! I will have plenty of pics to post when we return :)

Walk for Kids Marathon

So a couple of weekends ago I joined a couple of my car scene friends to do a Marathon for the Ronald McDonald House and CHOC. It was called the Walk for Kids. All proceeds went to the R.M.H. and CHOC. Jesse picked me up bright and early at 5:30am. We met with the rest of Team Horton and then went the Arrowhead Pond..(where the Anaheim Ducks play). Then we waited for the Marathon to start. I wasn't sure what to expect and how well I would do for my first one. Our team was split into 3 groups of walkers...Tina and Jennifer..who was out to kill..ha ha. They was really FAST! Jesse and me who were about medium paced walkers. Then Los, Kricket, Lil D, Cheri and Bryan who just took their time. Tina and Jennifer finshed and found the slow group and walked the rest of their marathon with them. Then Jesse and I finshed walked the last Mile with everyone so that we could all "techincally" finish together. So Jesse and I walked about 4 miles in a 3 mile marathon, Tina and Jennifer did about 5 miles in a 3 mile marathon..and the last group did their 3 miles :) It was fun and a great workout. I was glad I could support the charity event and hope to do it again soon :)

Los..are you awake???

Nicholas is ready to go!!

Easter

Easter Sunday the girls woke us up and they went to find their baskets. Its a tradition that the Easter Bunny hides it every year. They all found theirs...it took some time but they finally did it. We also had the Zlotucha family here. So Lauryn got hers as well. Then had breakfast and wished our friends a safe return home. Afterwords we spent the rest of the day relaxing at home with the girls. It was a nice Easter Sunday!

Easter Egg Hunt

I know this has been about a month but better late than never right...

So while Justin's family was out here at the end of March we found a Easter egg hunt to go to. The kids had a great time and scored. It was fun having Grandma Corinne and Aunt Robin there..as well as Kerensa!

Arlene and Dave visit

During Easter weekend our friends from Utah, Dave, his wife Arlene and little girl Lauryn came to visit us. We had such a good time with them. We went out to Santa Monica Pier and toured around. Then came back and had pizza, colored eggs and put the kids to bed. Us adults finally got to relax and play some games. Then they headed back Sunday morning shortly after a nice brekfast that Justin made. We love when people come to visit us out here. It was such a joy to have them in our home and spend some quality time with them. The girls loved playing together, and enjoyed their slumber party. We don't always get to spend alot of time with people when we are back in Utah visiting. Since we have so many people to see and in different areas. Thanks Arlene, Dave and Lauryn for coming to stay in our home and visiting us. Hope to see you again soon.

Waking up Thursday morning with Lauryn. The girls watched Princess and the frog. That was a cute movie that Lauryn shared with us.

Justin was super busy. But he sure did provide a nice Sunday breakfast for us and for the Zlotucha family to fill their tummies before hitting the road.

But we had to take some final pictures of the girls altogether in their easter dresses before they left. Lauryn it was a pleasure to have you here! Come back real soon.

Bye Zlotucha Family..We will Miss you!!!

Ky's dance!

Ky's dance routine..and her first time in a class and competition. I was very proud of her. She did an amazing job :)

The girls April Competition

So last Saturday the girls had their hip hop competition. This was Chelsey's 3rd and Kylee's first. It was held at Cal-poly pomona. The girls were ready. They have practiced their little hearts out. Ky's team was the very first team to go on..she was nervous but had her game face on. She was ready to show them just how much she wanted to dance. Chelsey and her team was ready as well. Chelsey really wanted to take first, because her first comp she took 3rd and her second comp she took 2nd. So she wanted to move up. They did really well and I think they got robbed. Kylee's team got 3rd...thumbs down. They did alot better than that, but oh well what can you do. Chelsey's team took 2nd again. She was a little disappointed but was ok..she still medaled. I am going to try and post Chelsey's dance..but hers was done on the camcorder...so it is harder. But I was able to get Ky's on the camera. Justin had Issy up in the stands with him and got both on the camcorder, but I was down with the girls helping out the coach and was in front with Ky's class. I wish I would of been able to go up from with Chelsey's too...but couldn't.
