Student of Month

Kylee was awarded August student of the month for her class. We are very proud of our girl. She has obviously set a great example in class for her other classmates. The teacher has also used her as line leader because of her being a great example. I am hoping to see lots more of these in the future.

Thoughts

I know that I usually just post about the girls and also our family activities on here. But today I think I need to just use it as away to express how I have been feeling lately. I've come to the point in my life that I am seriously tired of my weight. I have been getting up 3 to 4 times a week and walking at least 40 minutes. Normally adding that in with a normal diet I have seen results. But for some reason that doesn't seem to be the case this time. Its really depressed me and I just have to keep thinking to myself "DON'T GIVE UP". My thyroid problem plays a mojor role in my weight loss. It always seems to complicate everything in my body. I really would not wish hypothyroidism on anyone. Especially my case, since its such a severe case. I'm looking and researching into what foods would work better for me and what foods are bad for me as well. There has got to be something out there that will work better for me and help me with my weight loss and also help with my thyroid problem. I have been researching and looks like a high fiber diet, more seafood and fish are going to be added in.I'm really hoping this will help me. I wish I could be like other people where they just work out and change to a healthy diet and they see results. But with my hypothyroidism its always a struggle, its never easy. Its hard to be around people who in your eyes are fit, healthy and achieved their weight loss yet they claim they need to lose more or that they feel fat. I sit there and think..gee if you think you are fat, then what do I look like? Its hard to be around family when you are the bigger one and everyone else is not. I'm just done being this way and I am ready to move on. So here is to hoping that things will change and get better.

Chelsey's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to my first baby girl! Chelsey had a great party. We rented a bounce house and the kids loved it! Chelsey also made it a little rock star/80's theme for her friends. That will explain the outfits and make-up..ha ha. They had so much fun. We started it with a sleep-over with Jocelyn and then had the party. Justin made his yummy pizza adding some fruit and veggie trays and topping it off with Red Velvet cake. Chelsey loves Red Velvet cake. Except she prefers vanilla frosting with it. She received some great gifts like nail stuff, school stuff, jewelry, a cute pillow for her bed, money, gift cards, and more. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make it a great day for her!

First Day of School!

Yesterday the girls went back to school. Chelsey is now in 5th grade and top dog of her school. Next year she will move on to Middle school...yikes! Ky is in 1st grade. She is now a full day student and her biggest excitement is that she gets to play on the big kids playground :)

Chelsey's teacher this year is Ms. Roach. I believe she takes on an Asst. Principal role, therefor she is very orderly and quite the lady. When I found out Chelsey had her I simply said.. this could go two ways. 1- This will be a VERY bad year, or 2- this could be the best thing to happen to Chelsey. I'm starting to think option 2 is going to win! Ms. Roach is very organized and runs a tight ship. She is very energectic, and is always on the move. The one thing I am hoping to squash this year is Chelsey's chatting problem. Which I found out is her teachers biggest pet peeve. So hopefully it won't be tolerated. Since next year Chelsey will be in 6th and there on the teachers will simply send them to the principals office. Chelsey's first day though, she came home and loved it. I was very impressed as well. Ms. Roach keeps a site that I can check and see about homework, upcoming events, announcements, and etc. Also for every homework I have to sign in order for Chelsey to turn it back in. I'm already seeing a great year and my daughters future getting much better. :)

Ky has Ms. Robinson. She is an older lady and sort of the grandma type teacher, very nuturing and sweet. Ky loves her and said that she is extremely excited for school.

My baby is growing up. 5th grade..I can't believe it.

My Ky-kers! She is such a ham and very excited for 1st grade.

Ky in her class sitting at her desk and ready to learn

Ok so last year this little boy was in her Kindergarten class, his name is Gabriel. He won my little girls heart. Once again they have class together and the teacher happened to sit them together...we will see how this goes..ha ha. They're so cute. Gabriels mom said "Oh they had Kinder together huh." I said, "yep they sure did". She said "Yep we've heard Ky's name at home..ha ha" They both just looked down and smiled. We both had to take a picture of them together.

Chelsey at her class and ready to step in and learn! This year she has her best friend Karla in class with her. I think this will be great as well. Karla is a very good girl, and very obediant. She is going to be my eyes and ears while Chelsey is at school..ha ha ha.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEY

Happy Birthday to my baby girl... 10 years ago today I was sitting at the Orem Community Hospital patiently waiting for my little girl to arrive. We started early in the morning by inducing me and finally by the afternoon the Dr had realized Chelsey was just floating in a pool. I had double the amount of water inside and that caused Chelsey to simply float. So they decided I needed a c-section. But they had to give me a full 12 hrs so that I couldn't come back on the Dr for mal-practice. So I waited until 10pm. Finally they took me in and Chelsey was delivered at 10:06pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and 19 inches long. From her very first hour in life she came out stubborn and sassy. While in the nursery her grandmothers, and aunts watched this little newborn baby stick her little fingers up and work diligently to remove her beanie on her head. Finally after rooting her on.."Go Chelsey, Go Chelsey"! She removed her beanie. To this day she doesn't really wear hats and is still very much stubborn. My little sassy red head is now heading off to 5th grade and almost done with Elementary school. She is certainly not so little anymore, but still my precious baby girl. I love you Chelsey and thanks for best "first moments" as a mom. I hope your birthday is awesome and you have alot of fun. Happy Birthday!
