So this weekend Justin and I got to get away for a club event. We went to a Truck run for SCMTC...which stands for Southern California Mini Truck Council. During a run you go and camp out for about 3 days, and they put on a show during the event. You go and camp with your club and then other clubs have their camps around as well. Its a way to get together, camp, have fun, and join friendships with other clubs as well get to know your own better. Our girls went to my friend Leah's for the weekend. So after Justin got off work friday we left. It was down at Lake Elsinore camp ground. Roughly 20 mins away from home, not to bad. We got down there and set up camp as it was getting dark. Then got to sit back and relax with the rest of our club. Sunset had their 4 chapter in So. Cal there....Us (Inland Empire, Whittier, San Diego, and High Desert. It was so great to spend some real time with all the other chapters. You get to know them alot more. Since we don't always spend alot of time together. The more you get to know each other, the stronger the club. There is nothing that our members wouldn't do for each other..we are deffinantly a family in its own. I love being apart of them.
But you have to take on the rules, and rituals that they have set in place. So when you join Sunset they put you through a petitioning stage for 90 days. Then you are voted in. After that they first run you go to with the club is considered a Virgin run. So they take on a little initaition and have some fun. Sunset is pretty good about not hurting the guys, just making them feel a little stupid..ha ha. So the pictures will explain.... Saturday was also the show. Justin got up and got everything ready. Then the rest if the day they had events, and games. Towards the evening they did their virgin running...and after that we got to live it up and enjoy the rest of the run. Sunday morning was cleaning time and trophies. Justin and I had so much fun and enjoyed being there with our friends...and our sunset family. Now its time to recoop from that.
The virgin running begins...they start by having you wear something stupid. In our case they put the guys in depneds and other funny stuff. Then they syran wrapped them together. They did it in two sets so that they could walk together better. We had 8 virgin runners. They also obtain nick names alot with clubs for various reasons. So yes some of the names may sound weird..ha ha. But there is some of them I don't even know their real names.

Then they proceed with dumping stuff on them. I think we had ketchup, mustard, mayo, raw eggs, beer, choc. syrup, pancake batter, flour, bbq sauce, and whipped cream. Also they make them drink stuff along the way...Don't worry they can volch out of drinking hard liquor, and even beer if they can't or don't drink it. Justin stuck with Beer. They also make sure they have towells to keep their eyes clean.
Next they take them through all the other camps shouting their club name, and other stuff. The other clubs can choose to haze them as well.
Now we are finished...very stinky and ready for showers The boys took it like champs and now are really a full fledge sunset member. Our members that ran are Little D, Chuggo, Do It, Ragu, and then second group was Jesse, Timberlake, Justin, and B. It was awesome that Justin and B got to run together since they have been friends and in other clubs since we moved to California.

At the end of Sept. we put on our own run called West Coast Nationals. So for a thank you Bob our founder hired a taco guy to come down and feed us saturday for lunch and dinner...Thanks it was some yummy food.

Also we had 22 vehicals in the show from Sunset. We took Club par, and took up most of the first row at the show. It was a small show so we deffinanlty had more than half of the vehicals in the show :) Sunset Pride!
