Backyard at the Hyatt

So during Sunday morning we went out the "Backyard" at the hotel. It was such a cute little place for kids. I will let the pictures explain why!

Giant Checkers...Justin kicked my butt at this game. Ok so I don't play checkers very well...sad but true :(

My girlies on the bing bags

Auntie hola-hooping with Chelsey and Ky. That was fun to watch. Auntie said she got a nice stomach work out from it.

Miniature bowling for the kids.....

They had a bing bag toss that Justin was trying to play with Chelsey. It was fun to watch.

Issy loved the bing bags alot!

Day Two of our S.D. Trip

The second and last day of our trip we packed alot of stuff into the day. When we got up we took the kids down to breakfast and enjoyed a yummy meal. Then we went out to the pool area and there they have a "Backyard" area for the kids to play in. I will have to blog about this after. It was such a neat area. After playing there for a while we decided it was time to head to the beach. Problem was Auntie's friends weren't quite ready to go yet. So we had a problem not enough room in the car to take everyone. So Auntie sent Chelsey, Kylee and me with Uncle Steve on the ferry to Coronado beach. Justin, Auntie and Issy took the car over to it. Once we got off the ferry we took a bus over to the beach and enjoyed several hours there. Auntie's friends Ruthie and Anthony finally made it there. The girls had a blast playing in the sand, water, and with the beach toys. We all got a little too much sun, even after applying a couple rounds of sunblock. But oh well it was worth it. After that we came back to the hotel showered and went down to Seaport Village to eat. At the end Uncle Steve sent the girls and Auntie on a Cinderella carriage ride through Seaport Village. The girls had a blast. It was deffinantly a wonderful trip and can't wait to do it again.

The girls waiting for the Ferry with their slushies

Our little tiny Ferry was next to a Carnival Cruise Ship...WOW

The girls and I aboard the ferry

Watching the view as we sail over to the Island

Uncle Steve loved watching the girls in action.

Kylee loving the water..like always. I swear she is going to be a surfer!

Issy found a little puddle of water to play in...lol. I guess the ocean wasn't good enough for her.

Now they are all making a little damm to keep their puddle safe from the ocean.

The gang after just finishing dinner in Seaport Village. From left to right we have Anthony, Auntie Kathleen, above Auntie is Ruthie, then Kylee, Chelsey, and Issy, Me, Justin, and Uncle Steve! It was a blast!

The girls on their cinderella carriage ride. The driver was fantastic. He told the girls he was there to give them a special ride on his carriage from Cinderella herself. That all the pictures would be sent straight to Disneyland for Cinderella to keep. He was awesome. After wards he let them pet the horse and help feed her a carrot!

My 3 princesses enjoying their ride with Cinderella's blanket to keep them warm. The driver told Auntie she got the horses blanket...ha ha. That was so funny!

San Diego with Auntie K and Uncle Steve!!

This weekend we had the oppurtunity to meet Auntie Kathleen and Uncle Steve in San Diego. We went down Saturday around noon and mett up with them at the Hyatt hotel we stayed at. They treated us to a fabulous weekend of relaxing, sun and fun!. I will have to do a couple posts on this trip. We did so much stuff while down there and so many cute, and awesome pictures was taken.

So to start off we met them and got checked in, then we went and checked out the pool. We had a couple drinks poolside with them. Then we went down to Seaport Village, and off for a nice long walk to dinner at Anthony's Fish Grotto...MMMM. After we got back we got ready for some night swimming, and smores at the poolside firepits. Smores was a nice dessert to finish off the night!

The girls in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel in San Diego. They are super excited for their weekend ahead!

Checking into the Hyatt. Can you see the excitement in Auntie K's face!

When we were down at Seaport Village a balloon man made some cute balloon shapes for the girls. Kylee asked for Ariel, Issy got a heart with a flower in it, and Chelsey got a bike..I know a bike crazy! The girls loved it though..

Issy loing the tables at Seaport Village. They were colorful, and girly!

We found ants eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches..how crazy and cute.

The girls by some huge kites in the park.

After walking through Seaport Village we walked down the harbor to Anthony's fish grotto for some food. On the way there we saw some awesome statues and historic ships. This is the famous "Kiss' statue. It reminds me of My grandpa Royal heading out to sea when he was in the Navy and kissing my grandma Iris goodbye.

Look at that view. It is so pretty and gorgeous down in San Diego. You have the USS Midway, the sunset, and some beautiful trees. Gorgeous!

Justin and I in front of the USS Midway. It is the longest standing service ship in the U.S.. It service was from 1946-1992. Now it is a museum down at the harbor.

Issy enjoying her smore by the fire. We just finished swimming and Auntie grabbed some Smore supplies and we all sat down by the firepit and enjoyed them. It was funny because Auntie was so excited to do this. So after we started roasting the marshmellows she asked" Ok now what?"
I said "haven't you ever had a smore?". She said laughingly "No". I about fell off my chair. She was so excited to make one, but hadn't the slightest clue how. I showed her the way and then we all enjoyed them. We all ended with our tummy's full and sticky fingers.

Newport Beach

Yesterday my friend Leah and I took our girls down to Newport Beach for the day. It was so much fun. We loaded up bright and early and headed out to avoid beach traffic. We arrived around 8:30 and front row parking. We walked right out onto the beach and set up. The kids played in the sand for a little bit until it warmed up. Then we hit the waves. The little girls stayed towards the shore, but don't let them fool you they kept pressing their boundaries by moving further out. We all had so much fun just laying out on the sand, picnicing and playing in the watre. Chelsey and Ky love to boogie board now, and want one so bad. Issy gained alittle more love for the water and played alot more in it. Leah and I took turns using the boogie board as well and going out to where the big waves are. It was so much fun that Leah and I are going to try and do it several times a month for the summer. Check out new beaches and see which ones we enjoy more :) Can't wait!

Isabella enjoying the beach.

Chelsey taking the boogie board out to the water.

Chelsey loved the boogie board. I think she used it moat of the time.

Kylee waiting for the wave to come and move her on the boogie board. My little beach bum!

Waves coming up and splashing on Ky. Boy does she love that.

The girls enjoying the morning water. I think Bridgette is a little cold, while the younger three don't seem to mind.

Fathers Day

Justin had a terrific fathers day. We started out the morning by me waking up and making breakfast for the family. Which is usually Justin's routine for sunday mornings. So he got the day off :) Then I went on a cooking spree, and made cookies, salad, and a queso dip. After we got all ready we went up to Kevin and Amy's. Amy made her famous enchiladas and rice. I made the appetizer...queso dip with chips ( compliments to Julie for the recipe). It was so good. Then we added a green salad and topped it with some yummy cookies. Again compliments to Julie for the recipe. It was sooo good. She has some great recipes..mmm. After dinner we just hung out and watched movies. The kids played outside in the sprinklers and enjoyed the sun. I hope Justin was able to relax and enjoy the day. He is such a great father to our kids, and the best husband. I am so lucky to have him in my life. I hope all the dads had a great day!

Toyz R Us Show

So two weeks ago Justin and I got the chance to take only 1 kid to the Toys R Us car show. Usually we have all three. But our good friends Kevin and Amy watched the other two. The show was lots of fun. I got to spend time with a couple different people I didn't know very well. Issy was spoiled rotten by everyone, especially our friend Carlos. He bought her ice cream, and a big smoothie. Then everyone else shared their chips, and crackers with her. She loved all the attention. Justin didn't place at this one, but its a big show. Mostly we just went to get new ideas and hang out with the gang. Did I say I only had to deal with 1 kid...Oh man that was so GREAT!

Uncle Los smiling after treating Issy to her big smoothie

Issy and her Pina Colada smoothie..It was yummy!

Moms b-day

I know I am slacking on the blog. So I am still posting from when we had my Mom and Britt out here for a week. The last day that they were here we got to celebrate my moms birthday. I haven't been able to do this for the past 4 years. I loved being able to make her a cake and spend the day with her. We started out by styling her hair and making her pretty for the day and then we took her to lunch. She chose to go to Chili's. Justin met us down there for lunch as well. Just the adults and Issy. Then we took her shopping. After that we came home and got ready to make her dinner. I made her my yummy spaghetti and then made a choc. cake for her with strawberries on top. Britt and I had gone shopping for her the day before and picked up a few items for her. She got her fav. lotion from bath and body works, some lip gloss from Bath & body, and a nice pair of earrings. The girls loved singing for her and they sang her a little number...so cute! Her is my moms b-day in cali:

Knotts Berry Farm

My mom and sister followed us from Utah back out to California. They stayed with us for a week. The kids loved having them here, and so did we. One of the days I took Britt to Knotts Berry Farm for a day of sister fun. Just us two went and got to spend time together without moms, kids, or hubbies. It was so much fun! We both love roller coasters so this time I had someone who always wanted to ride with me and not be scared. Of course since it was just us, we lacked on the pictures. But I got a couple of us just by doing them my self. You really just can't see all the rides we went on together. Oh well..maybe some other time when we take our family with us...ha ha.

KNOTTS BERRY FARM....LOVED IT!!!

One of our last rides was on Calico Railroad. Can you tell I was getting a little tired by now

The WILD WEST GUYS. Some of them were really cute! Britt wanted to go and pick up on one of them.

Population: Peanuts! Brittany said I belonged in Camp Snoopy because I am small like a peanut!

We crossed this little bridge and went into a cave area. They had some waterfalls behind us. We thought it looked like the perfect oppurtunity for a picture

Standing in line for the log ride. We had already gotten wet from the Perilous Plunge.

Just standing in line for the Boomerrang ride. A lady was nice enough to take our picture :)
