Justin's B-day Swat

So Sunset has a thing with Swats. Each member is "swatted" into Sunset, and then every year on their b-day they get a b-day "swat". As well as if they do something against the club bi-laws. So of course Justin just celebrated his b-day and this sunday at their club meeting..they reminded Justin that he has a b-day present awaiting him. After the meeting we walked out to the parking lot and they started the bidding for the swat. What this is..the person giving the swat can bid for it. The money goes towards the club funds which helps with parties, cruise nights, and if they do a car show. Well it went between Bryan and Bob. Finally people started helping Bob by pitching into his bid. Bob won with paying $20 into the swat. Here is Justin's swat...

Right after he swatted him. Justin said it really hurt this time. Has a little red mark on his butt.

Enjoying the Sun!

This last weekend we decided to take the kids and meet our friends at the park. The weather has been so great here, so might as well go out and enjoy it. The kids all loved it, and our friend Kevin even got ice cream for the kids while we were there. Here is some pics..

Happy Birthday Love!

Birthday Dad and his 3 Girls

The Love of my life!

Today is Justin's b-day. We got to spend the whole day together. I love having him home on fridays. To start, the girls and I made breakfast for him. So he woke up to Breakfast in bed and loved that each of his lil' girls helped out with it. Then he mowed the grass, and then got ready for the day. Chelsey went to school, and Kylee spent the day at her friends house. So Justin, Issy and I went to get Justin's B-day present. He needed tires real bad, so with that I let him pick out new rims to put with it. We went and got those installed. Boy was that an experiance. When they were first putting on the tire to the rim and getting it set..they found that 2 of the tires were defective. So then we had to wait for their driver to bring 2 new tires out of their warehouse. That took some time. After all that we got home, spent a little time with the girls. Then Angie watched them for us, so we could go to dinner together. Justin got a Chili's gift card from his mom, so we went there...YUM! To finish the night we came home, rescued Angie from the 3 rugrats. We put the girls to bed, and are now relaxing and watching movies. Tomorrow we will do a little dessert with the girls. Since today didn't go according to plan. I hope Justin had a great day! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Learning to let go!

So you would think that I wouldn't be learning this lesson so soon. Learning to let go of one of your kids and letting them make their life choices. My lil sister has always been one of my own kids. I have taken care of her since she was a little baby. Growing up with a single mom, makes you grow up as well. Even Justin knew going into our marriage that I basically already had a kid. She is my baby, my best friend, and most importantly my lil sister! I love her so much, and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for her. I have seen her struggle with so much in her life, and most of it being at such a young age. She's driven, dedicated, and intelligent. I see so much happening in her future, and know she will go very far. So why am I having a problem with her choices...

Well for the past year she has been getting ready to graduate highschool and move on to college. Her goal is to get into the medical field, and push forward to being a Dr. She was accepted to the University of Utah, and was so happy. But as it gets closer, her fears are starting to set in. She procrastinated on getting the student aid apps turned in. So now its crunch time, and she thinks..well thiss is getting too hard so maybe I should just stick to what I know, and feel comfortable with and go to Snow! I have no problem with Snow. I think it is a great school. But do I think its the school for my sis...NO. I have alot of reasons for why I think this. I want to see her do her very best, and take the hard things in life and just run with them. She has always taken the harder course. She has never settled. So why now? Why when this will be one of your bigger decisions in life settle and take the easier course, because it would be the less scary choice. I just want what is best for her. I know she has to make her own choices, and learn from them. I know thats the only way to grow up. Thats where I just need to let go, and keep my mouth shut.

I've been so torn with this. Because I want her to know how I feel, but I also want her to know that I do support her in everything she decides to do. I probably haven't shown that with these college conversations. I hate fighting with her..it hurts! You never want to fight with your best friend! So now I just have to learn to let go.......

Sorry people just venting!

Justin's B-day Bash

So most of Justin's friends was going to be gone this weekend for an away car show. But I still wanted to throw a party for me. So I put one on a week early. Last saturday we had a bunch of our friends over for his b-day party and had a great time. I served a bunch of appetizer like foods and some desserts, and we all just chilled and chatted with one another. Justin really enjoyed his party with his friends. I'm glad everything worked out.

We're TROUBLE together..lol.

Ok so I need to explain this picture..lol. Well ok just why my hubby is wearing a purse. See like I have mentioned before Sunset has different rules. So when one of the members has a b-day the guys tend to give him a hard time. They decided that they would make Justin wear one of my purses. Justin went along with it, because they could of asked for worse..lol. Plus he also had a few drinks in him and didn't care..ha ha.

Awe...we miss Harry! He needs to come up and see us more often

Forbidden Fantasy Car Show

Last weekend Justin had his first big show of the car season. This one is really big, and he knew that there would be LOTS of competition. So he went into it knowing he wouldn't place, but just to have fun and get some ideas. Angie took us girls over there to support him for a couple hours. I love having her here. Its so nice to be able to not do the whole show, but still go for a couple hours. A couple people in our club placed, so that was nice. Here is a pic of Justin's car, and also one of us girls by a really BIG truck!

Its coming together...

My Girls Night Out!

So last night my friend Angie got me out of the house and took me to a kareokee bar that she goes to alot. We got there and joined her usual table of friends and they took me in like I was just one of them. They were alot of fun. All of them at one point or other got up and sang. Angie sang 5 songs, and did an awesome job. They all kept asking me why I didn't get up there. Angie just said she doesn't even sing to my little kareokee game...ha ha. I guess I just don't have enough courage to get up there. But they kept saying..hey as long as they are having fun, thats all that matters. All in all it was a great night out, and I was very entertained. I even got hit on by a 25 yr old guy there..lol. He soon realized I was sporting a ring on a certain finger and turned the rest of the conversations casual. But it made me feel good :)

I may just have to make this a monthly night out. One of these days I might actually get the courage up to join Angie in a song..ha ha.

Justin is a happy man

So the long awaited body kit for Justins car finally came in. The past couple of weeks Justin has spent alot of time up at his friend Roccs garage. They have been getting it sanded and primered. They first went over it with an over all primer. After that they back through and added a 2-tone primer. Justin has a big show in two weeks that he wanted to get this ready for. After the show he will have a little more time to get the paint finished. So here is Justin's 4th baby.....
