A Good Cause

On Dec 4th we went to a charity show called winter wishes. Its for a place called Hillview Acres in Chino, Ca. Its a home for abused children that have been taken from their families. Our founder Bob has been working with this Home for at least 20 years. They are a small organization and don't get alot of attention. Infact if you were to drive down the street where they are, you would not know thats what it is. So really only people who know about it donate to the place. Our chapter alone donated $250 in everyday household needs. I was so happy to be able to help these kids out. The girls enjoyed it to. All 3 picked out several things from their closest that they don't wear or is too small and donated to the house. I'm very thankful for what I have and that I can help out those less fortunate. But also to show my kids what its like to help as well. I'm very proud of what we could do for them. Here is some pics of us that were able to come.

This is just some of our members. A good amount is from our Chapter but we have a few from other chapters with us as well.

Isabella is 5!

On December 13th, 2005 I went into the hospital to give birth to my 3rd and final little girl! Isabella MaDonna was born that morning. I love my little girl so much! She will always and forever be my baby! She has the prettiest hair, and biggest blue eyes! She has made our family complete! Now 5 years later... I can't believe by next August I will be enrolling her into school and starting on that final journey.

We celebrated her birthday by getting her ears pierced..which she finally requested. Then had a meal of her choice and to top it off enjoyed Cake! I Love my baby girl and so glad she is apart of my life. I don't know what we would do if we didn't have her. She brings so much personality and love to our family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

Saturday we celebrated Issy's 5th b-day! We had a small party here at the house. Issy requested home made pizza from her daddy. She went with a tinkerbell theme. We didn't have alot of people. Some were out of town and others sick. But we made due with what we had there. She got alot of great gifts from friends and family! We weren't able to do a pinata or a jumper due to her arm. But we had fun signing her cast! Thank you guys so much for celebrating with us. Issy had a great bday party!!!

On December 7th Issy went in and saw her Dr for her arm. They decided that they would remove the splint and cast it for the next 3 weeks. Then everything can be removed on Dec. 27th! So here is our little process of Issy picking out her pink cast!

Isabella's Tragedy

So the Saturday after Thanksgiving just turned out to be the worst day! First of all we start off by sending Corinne home, only to get her back within 5 minutes. Her car broke down and Justin and Limpy had to go save her. They found out that she had a timing belt and motor mount that had to be fixed. Soo... She came back to the house. The girls were excited because they got an extra day with Grandma. UNtil... They girls had ate lunch, enjoyed a tea party with Grandma, and went on about playing. I sat down to eat when Issy started screaming. She ran into the kitchen and said her arm was hurting. I noticed her elbow was not right. It looked like it had been dislocated. So I have Justin take us to Urgent care. Where we find out after a couple hours and xrays later that Issy broke her elbow and a small fracture in her collar bone. They proceeded to tell us that we would have to take her in for surgery. But since she had just ate they made her wait 8 hours. So we got admitted and a room in the hospital. I stayed with Issy while justin ran home for a little bit. The girls, Corinne and Limpy came to visit Issy before her surgery. At 8 they took her down and started prepping her for surgery. Finally they got her in and we were sent to the waiting room. The Dr told us that it could take up to 5 hrs and didn't know. So we sat and waited. But after only 40 minutes he came out and said the surgery was great and she was back in the pre-op area. Needless to say I slept with Issy that night at the hospital and then the next day Justin came and got us. She is such a trooper. It took her about 4 days to get off the pain meds but she is doing great and going back in for an appointment Tuesday. Love you Issy...you need to be more careful! Oh what ended up happening was she had climbed on Justin's office chair and was standing on it. When it turned and she fell off and broke her elbow. She won't get back on that chair again..ha ha!

After finding out she had a broken elbow and slight fracture in Collar bone. She was smiling tho every time I took picture. In fact Justin took her in to the xray room. She was nervous so he explained to her that all they were going to do was take pictures of her bones. She what does she do when the nurse said..ok ready? Yeah she smiles and poses! The nurse was like..umm did she just do that, and Justin was like..ha ha Yep thats my girl!

Issy got her hospital p.j.'s and weighed in. I thought she looked so cute!

Just got put her her bed for the next 24 hrs.

She was being so silly! Making faces and all. Pain meds of course!

Ha ha ha... On pain meds and feeling GREAT!

Where is Issy under all that stuff?! They had 2 pillows for her arm to be propped and then a warm blanket, plus the wash cloth on top. I thought we lost her for a minute under all that.

She had run a slight fever so they were trying to reduce it down

About to go in for surgery. She looks so worried and kept telling us to stay with her. My poor girl!

After she was out of surgery, still sleepy from the anesthesia. It was hard to see her this way! My poor baby

Issy is back home after being in the hospital for 24 hrs. She is a trooper and doing great! She had two pins placed in her arm that will be removed after 4 weeks.

Our family for Thanksgiving 2010

&heart; ALL BECAUSE TWO PEOPLE FELL IN LOVE ♥

Thanksgiving 2010

This Year for Thanksgiving we had some of Justin's family come and visit us. His Mom arrived Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and his Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Steve arrived Wednesday before T-day. It was so great to have them out here for it. The girls loved every minute of it as well. Wednesday after Auntie and Uncle arrived we went out to dinner and enjoyed this place called The Citrus City Grill. YUM!! It was fantastic food. Thanks Auntie and Uncle for treating us. Then of course on T-day they all were at the house. The food turned out amazing. We had usual Turkey, gravy, potatoes, Yams, Green Beans, and rolls. Then for dessert we ha a selection of 4 pies..ha ha. Pumpkin Pie of course, Choc pie, choc peanut butter pie, and Angie stopped by and dropped off a Pecan pie. They were all Yummy! After dinner we went on a family walk. I showed them most of my route that I take. I did shorten it up a bit for Issy of course. Then in the evening we enjoyed watching the girls sing and dance for us. It was so much fun to spend time with them all. All the laughs and smiles that were shared that weekend were great!

I want to take this time to say what I am Thankful for. 6 years ago Justin and I moved our family out here not knowing what was going to happen and not having anyone to turn to. Within that six years we have met some of the most awesome friends in my life! We found a second family with SunSet Minitruck Club, and last but not least we have made California our home. I can't imagine living anywhere else right now. I am so thankful that we have had this experiance, and met these great people. From my SunSet family, to the different people I have met in the minitruck scene, and to our friends Angie & Mike, Amy & Kevin/kids, Kris & AJ/kids, Alki, Miki &Victor/kids, and my neighbor Leah. Love every one of you and the difference you have made in our life! Then of course to My family and friends back in Utah! I love my family and wish I could see them more. I miss all of you so much! And Yes Julie you are included in my family in Utah..ha ha. Love you guys more than you know and thankful for every one of you! Happy Thanksgiving!

Grandma comes to visit

Grandma Corinne came out to visit us for Thanksgiving. We were so excite to see her again. The girls had a blast while she was out. They played Croquet, had tea parties, went on walks, played board games, made clothes for Chelsey's doll and so much more. This is just some of the activites the girls enjoyed with their Grandma.

Here is Chelsey and Kylee playing Croquet. Kylee ended up winning the game. She was pretty good at it. Issy came in 2nd, Chelsey 3rd and Grandma in last. Grandma needs to get some practice in..ha ha

Here is Grandma Corinne playing crouet with the girls. Look at her... so serious.

Come on Chelsey...knock it in there!

Gorgeous little Issy was a rock star with her croquet moves
After a long day of playing I think Ky got a little tired!
Since its so close to Issy's 5th bday we allowed her to open her birthday gift from Grandma Corinne while she was out here.

What is inside??

CLOTHES!!! Then we had CHelsey help her and model all her stuff!

GORGEOUS!!!! Issy loves her clothes

Taking pics with Grandma

They each took a turn having Grandma sleep in their room for a slumber party with her. First night with CHelsey, then 2 nights with Issy and Ky, then one more night with Chelsey.

*Of course She was meaning to leave on Saturday morning, but while only getting 5 minutes from the house her car broke down. Thank Goodness she didn't get far. So Justin and Limpy went and saved her. Brought her back and we continued the fun. When all of the sudden Issy decided to take her tumble and sent us to the hospital (another post for that) So Grandma stayed one more night and slept in Issy's Bed. We loved having her out here! We all miss her so much. Thanks for coming out and spending the Holiday with us. I deffinantly have to say I have the best Mother in law! Love you Corinne aka MOM!
