Being Thankful

I wanted to take a little more time and write about the things that I am Thankful for. I am most thankful for my husband Justin and our 3 amazing little girls. They are my life. Without them, I would be lost. Justin is such an amazing husband and father. He works hard for us, and makes it so that I can stay at home with my kids and raise them. He is my best friend, my lover, and my other half. We have had our good times and some rough times. But at the end of the day he is always there to comfort me and support me. I can't picture anyone else as my partner..He completes me. My girls just add to that craziness. Their unique personalities gives our family just what it needs. Without them I wouldn't know the meaning of being a mom..Thank you girls!

I am also thankful for my family and all my friends. I couldn't ask for a better family, from my own to my in-laws. They all are the greatest. Even though mine can be crazy, and well a little bit of a mess. Somehow, someway we pull it together when it matters most. I love them so much and miss them very much. Thats the hardest part about living in California, is being away. When I married Justin, I certainly did get lucky! Because his family is the best! I gained so much. They are such a riot to be around!
My friends...I don't know where I would be without you guys. You all have been there for me in some form or other. Whether its being a listening ear when times are tough, or just putting a smile on my face, and laughter. You are all great. I love you all!

Now of course I am thankful for a whole lot more...but I wouldn't ever be able to write it all down. So Thank you to all of you for being in my life! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving 2008

This Thanksgiving we celebrated it at home with our good friends Steve, and Bri. They have become such great friends this year. We have been there for them during tough times this year, and they have been there for us as well. What better way to spend Thanksgiving when you don't have family in the area...You make a family..lol. Steve and Bri offered to cook the turkey, gravy, green bean casserole, and bring some drinks. Justin and I made the potatoes, yams, rolls, and pies. We all pitched in and made an awesome dinner. The kids watched every step of the way and Issy was more than willing to be the taste-tester to make sure everything turned out great. Which is why..when it came to eating the actual dinner she was full! Here is some of our day...Enjoy

I am Thankful for the love of my life!

Justin taking some "action" pics of me enjoying the dinner

Something very funny must of been said..because everyone is laughing.

The girls on their own table enjoying their dinner.

Bri making the gravy.. She did an awesome job!

Steve carving the turkey. I told him when he offered to make it, he had to do it right. Because I come from Turkey land and I can be very picky about my turkey..Needless to say..MMMMM... It was very moist and yummy!

Interesting Night!!

So I just thought I would share my interesting and exciting night with all of you. Justin and I went out last night to dinner with some friends. While waiting in the lobby to go eat, Justin watches a lady faint and soon after the paramedics are there. Then we get seated and enjoy the dinner, chat for a while and decide to go across the street to the mall. There is a restaraunt/billard and gaming place there. We thought it would be cool to go and play some games and hang out some more. We get to the parking lot of that place and our friends got out of their car and locked thier keys in the car. He told us he would deal with it later. We went in and played some games. Then the place was closing so we left. We come out and talk to the security guys, and they said the meter-maid security cop could help us when he came around. We walked up to the cars and waited for him to show up. During that time we witnessed a lady get into her VW Bug and pull straight out and wipe around real fast..just in time to hit a car. But not only did she hit a car..she hit a COP car. So we got to watch all of the scene and the cop taking pictures and all that jazz. It was very entertaining. While standing there waiting for help ourselves and watching the crash, a car comes down the street and right behind him is a COP. Lights are on, but this car isn't stopping. It just keeps going and going. When we thought they would stop for a stop sign and then get confronted by the cop..nope..they ran the stop sign. So we also witnessed a "low" speed chase. Finally the security cop comes around and tells us he can't help. So we waited for nothing..except to have the enjoyment of all this activity going on. Our friend finally broke a window, and got in. We chatted for a little longer and then we went home.
As Justin and I exited the freeway and came to the first stop light, the light changed to red real fast and an ambulance comes whirling by with his lights on and heading for the hospital. By this time, I turned to Justin and said..Lets hurry and get home. Before anything happens to us...lol
He agreed! That was our night....a fun night with friends with alot of activity going on around!

Late Halloween Post

The day after Halloween we attended a party held by our friends Kris and A.J. It was alot of fun, and gave the kids an extra day to dress up as well. It was so nice to be able to go and hang out with everyone and our kids could be there as well, and they had an awesome time too. A.J. was an excellant hostess. She had all these halloween type foods and you could tell she really put alot of time and energy into it.

Next Phaze to SunSet

Well another chapter closed on Justin's car scene. As some of you know Justin and our good friend Bryan started a club Next Phaze 3 years ago. Well between the new additions to our families and everyone's busy schedule, Next Phaze never really took off. Justin and Bryan tried and tried, but st some point they realized that they don't have the time and energy to be in charge of a car club and make it prosper. These two boys work so hard with their full time jobs and then have their families to provide for as well. That it just wasn't in the cards. So a couple weeks ago Justin and Bryan decided that they needed to close this chapter in their lives and look forward to a new one. With that being said.....
They found a new home. Sunset car club opened up a new chapter in the Inland Empire (which is the name of the area we live in). They have made some awesome friends that were starting this chapter and decided to try it out and see what happens. After hanging out with the new chapter we found a family. These guys are awesome! We look forward to this new chapter in our lives.
I know that some of you may not understand this all..lol. Thats ok, I didn't either until I became apart of it. Its just an awesome hobby that takes Justin's stress away that also provides us with new friends...and family. These guys become family. There is nothing that these guys wouldn't do for you when you are apart of this world. They also carry many traditions. One of which is logoing the car. When you become apart of a club they logo you. They take great pride in putting their logo on your car, and if you had another logo...lol..they take great pride on scraping that off your car as well. Here is some photos of Next Phaze logo being scraped off and Sunset IE logo going on.

They auctioned off who would scrape the logo. Our friend Carlos won the bid. Here is a photo of Justin and Carlos before scraping the logo.
Carlos and the boys are having too much fun with this..lol

Awe...Next Phaze...No more!

Justin putting on the Sunset petitioning logo. One of Sunsets rules is that you have to "petition" for so long. Meaning you have to show your support by attending shows, meetings, and other functions as well as some other stuff. Just so they know, that you are reliable and really want to be apart of it. So for now the logo is a sticker. Once he becomes a full member it will be painted on.

There we are....

Sunset Babe! I had to have a picture of me by it. Because I am apart of this too, and make just as many decisions that goes into this car and the car scene.

Justin's newest modifacation

Ok so Justin's newest modifacation to his car was shaving the back door handles. When he asked my permission to do so, I said only one thing..you better make it look good, and not cost too much money. So several hours + help from friends + $15 in primer and paint = A well done job...and one very happy wife!

Friday night Justin went to our friend Bryans house and from the help of him and a few other friends they got the job started. Justin was there about 7 hours. They had to take the handle off, replace the hole with a metal filler/plate. Weld that all together, and then use some bondo to seal everything. Then to start sanding away. Justin could not of done this without the help of his friends..So thank you!

Saturday Justin spent a few hours at our friends Carlos's house to sand some more. At that time Carlos let Justin take home his sander and that to work on it some more. So then Sunday Justin spent a few more hours in the garage sanding, priming, and sanding again...lol. Then he put on the final primer and found some paint that matched pretty well with the stock paint job. At the end of it all you can tell if you look up close that there is a slight difference in color, but other than that..It looks FANTASTIC.

Before Image...Door handles
Step one....removed handles

Step 2... They filled it with a metal filler, added a metal plate, then used Bondo to secure it. Finally to sand and prime

Step 3...Lots of sanding and priming...Justin spent a few hours completeing this.

The final product...No Handles. I think he did an awesome job considering that this was his first time shaving anything and then going back and welding and sanding the body work. He showed me the completion and I liked it so much I told him we need to finish it off and do the front ones. Of course they will cost more, so we'll have to wait on those.

A Long Awaited Reunion

So for the past couple months Steve has had the pleasure of getting to know his son Scott again. Steve has not been able to be apart of his kids lives for several years due to it may causing problems with his ex. Well Scott is now 19 and decided that it was time to take a stand and regain a relationship with his father. At some point Sue (Steve's sister) conversed with Scott and helped him with expenses to be able to make a trip from Colorado to here to see his dad.

So today we had the great honor of attending a multi birthday party at Sue's home. We got the pleasure of meeting not only Scott, and his fiance Christina but also Steve's youngest son Dustin came as well. They look alot like Steve, especially Dustin. We had alot of fun chatting, playing on the Wii, ping pong, and throwing the frisbee around. Steve's Mom and step-dad Bill were able to make it out from Havasu too. It was a nice reunion for the Knock family. A much needed one at that. The boys however were a little shocked at just how many family members they had out here. Here is some moments from the gathering....

Isabella loved this rock, I asked her if she wanted a picture and she dragged me over to this rock to get one taken..lol. She couldn't get over the fact that it had a face..ha ha

Halloween Night

The girls right before they are about to leave and trick or treate
The anual spongebob picture next door.

My Pirate Winch!

Chelsey and Issy playing pirates..lol. I thought it was pretty funny how Issy got into the whole role.
My BATGIRL!!!

She is trying to be happy, but at this point didn't want to wait anymore to go trick or treating. So she was a little upset.

The girls really enjoyed Halloween this year. Ky and Issy got to spend pretty much all day in their costume. Later on that evening we had Taco Soup for dinner, Steve and Bri came up to enjoy Halloween with us. Then we went out and took the girls trick or treating. This was our first year trick or treating in this neighborhood. So we didn't know what to expect. There was some streets that didn't have houses joining in at all. But others were a little better. Overall the kids got a nice pumpkin pail of candy each. We also learned that Chelsey doesn't like scary clowns. There was a clown house up the street from house. That Chelsey got really scared by. Issy just wanted her candy and to get out of there. While Kylee looked the clowns right in the eyes and waved. They didn't know what to think of her. I think she stumped them..lol. After we got back we took out our man made "fire pit" and had a little bonfire outside while handing out candy. Obviously we weren't prepared for all the kids. We ended up running out and still an hour later kids were walking by and we had to turn them down. Justin went even to extreme measures by turning down teenagers that were trick or treating to save the last of the candy for the little ones. We were just glad we didn't get egged or anything from the unhappy teens..lol. Another Halloween here and gone with the kids happy and full of sugar.

Halloween Playgroup

For playgroup this week, it landed right on Halloween. So the kids got to dress up for it. They had little games set up and some healthy snacks. As well as some of the moms brought something for the kids to trick or treat. The kids mostly just had a blast playing at the park and with each other. I don't think they even paid much attention to the games that were set up..lol. The girls had alot of fun!

Isabella got two rings from one of the moms when she trick or treated and she was very excited about them. She put them on right away and wouldn't let anything happen to them.
One of the moms made up her red wagon as a Gypsy wagon and then her daughter was dressed to match. She did an impressive job.
Issy with Baby Lilly. This little bee was so cute and Issy loves babies anyway, that Issy wouldn't leave her alone. She was Lilly's own personal watchman..lol
Batgirl and Pirate Princess at the Halloween playgroup.
Batgirl and batman, don't they look so happy to be taking the picture together..lol. Actually they usually play very well with each other.
