Last Awards Assembly

On Monday the girls had their last Awards assembly of the year. Kylee had been chosen as Student of the Month. I was so proud of her she started this school year with Student of the month and ended with it! She has really become a great student and her teacher will surely miss her next year. She also had Perfect Attendance all school year and was given a trophy for that as well. I was also surprised to find out that Chelsey was given an award too. Her teacher gave her an award for succeeding out of the Read 180 group program. Which now means she is reading at her grade level now and no longer having issues anymore. I have been so lucky to have Ms. Roach for Chelsey's 5th grade teacher. She has made such an improvement this year and is truely ready for 6th grade.

Kylee and her classmate Gilbert who was Citizen of the Month.

Kylee and Her friend Savannah. Savannah was awarded Citizen of the month for her class as well.

She was super happy, and as you can tell she is looking older. I've caught myself starring at my gorgeous little girl and realizing she is no longer little anymore but growing into a Young woman. I'm realizing that she is done with Elementary and moving on to bigger things. It just seems crazy to think I have a middle schooler now.

Ky with her Perfect Attendance trophy. Chelsey was sad... she missed two days from being sick. She so wanted to have a Perfect Attendance Trophy. Maybe they will do something in Middle School for it.

Im so proud of my girls! They really are great students and awesome Girls that make my life complete!

Mothers Day

I had a great Mothers day this weekend. It started off by going to the Drive-In last night with the family. Our Drive-In gives you a Double feature. So we ended up seeing Fast 5 and also Rio for the girls. Both movies were awesome! The girls had a blast as well. We took popcorn, licorce and drinks. Fun fun!

Then today I woke up to breakfast being made for me. Ky also made me a card from school. Then I got a new coffee traveler mug as well. To top it off they blind folded me and took me on a ride. We ended up going to a frozen yogurt place. It was so good!! I took a nap when we got home, and to finish it we had Sanpete Style BBQ turkey, corn on the cob, and a nice dessert :) My girls make me so happy, and give me such blessings in life! My husband also loves me so much and takes such good care of me. I love my Girls and Hubby! I also got pretty Flowers!

Bday Party Weekend

On Friday we ended up taking the girls to Tatiana's Birthday party. She is Daves daughter, that Justin used to work with. She was so happy to see the girls and spend time with them again. The girls had a blast at the park. Then on Saturday went to another friends birthday party...

Celeste is Ky's best friend from school, but its a hispanic family and they tend to invite the whole family over to party as well. They had a huge jumper, and some good food! The girls had so much fun!

Ha ha.. For the big Pinata the dad hung up a handle from the roof so that it would be easier to hang the Pinata from.

Here is Ky passing by, and if you look there is feet coming up from the slide, that is Issy..lol

Look how much fun she is having!
There she goes diving through the obstacle course at the end.

Here comes Chelsey...

The life size Minnie Mouse Pinata!

KinderCamp

Issy went to KinderCamp on Tuesday. She learned what Kindergarten is going to be like. They sang songs, colored pictures, played on the playground. She had alot of fun. While I sat in the other room listening to what the parents needed to know. She is extremely excited to go to Kindergarten this fall.

HMMM....

So on Monday I went to the hospital to get the final bill and also get paperwork on a charity program to help us out. Knowing I didn't have insurance when this happened I expected a rather larger bill. However when told it was 100,802.00, that blew me away. I about threw up on the lady. It made me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. So I told her I would be making a payment on Thursday and got the rest of the paperwork I needed. So skip to today.... I go in there and tell her I have a payment for her. Then she processes everything and says would you like to see your balance now? I was like yeah, and I need the receipt anyways. I knew that my payment wasn't going to make a dent into that large one..but whatever! So she gives me the bill and after my payment and also uninsured discounts, and such.. it was dropped down to 28,472. I was like...WoW! That is a huge differance and a big relief on my end. Plus the paperwork still has not gone through for the Charity program.

My question is this... Why give you that HUGE amount when they know that the hospital is going to take most of that cost away. Because obviously they know you aren't going to be able to pay it. Do they like to see you sick? Do they like to see you in more emotional pain? I have no idea, but its another reason why I hate the medical field!

Chelsey goes to Science Camp

So this morning at 7:15 we took Chelsey down to the school so that she could get ready to head out to Science Camp at Thousand Pines in Crestline, Ca. They will be there until Friday morning. They willl learn all sorts of stuff about Science, the outdoors and more. She is super excited to get this chance to go. Thank you for the ones that contributed to her Camp fund so that she could go. I promise she will have so much fun and make it worth your donation. Until then.. I get to miss my little girl for a few days. She also has cameras to take pics with to share after. I'm sorry about the bad pics today. I took them with my phone and the lighting sucked!

This is what Chelsey looks like at 7 in the morning when she is stoked and ready for Camp!

Chelsey and her best friend Karla!! They are both awake and ready to roll!!

This was the truck they had take all the luggage on stuff up to the camp. I thought it was a little big for 50 students small suitcases. But we also joked saying they were going to stuff the students in there as well..ha ha. Of course they didn't. The bus pulled up right after.
Chelsey boarding the bus to go!

On the bus, sitting with Victoria and ready to head out to Science Camp. She was all excited and obviously you can see by her smile! Bye Chelsey, Have Fun!!

Amazed

During this hard time, another thing captured my attention that I thought I would write about. When your going through something like this, you really see what friends and family are really there for you. Family is always a big support. I can't express the love, thoughtfullness, and prayers that were sent from our amazing family. Both sides really showed they cared, even if they could not be here. I will be forever thankful that I have the family I do.

But the thing that really triggered these thoughts were the friend support. People stepped up that I didn't expect, and really helped out. Also sent their love and thoughts throughout the process. Then there was some that I thought were good friends and would be there for my family, that I barely heard anything from. It hurt me to realize that they may not be as close or good of friends as I thought. You learn alot about yourself, and others when dealing with something so emotional and stressful as this.

Priceless Lesson!

We have had a week from Hell here! On Easter sunday were enjoying our day with the girls and a couple friends. Justin started having pains in his back that was killing him. Then it proceeded to affect his stomach. We thought he was dealing with the stomach flu. It took him out for a couple days and by Wed we decided it was no longer the stomach flu, but something else. It was a pain on his upper right stomach penetrating to his back. We went to the ER, and after a long time in there spoke with a surgeon who suggested Justin stay and have surgery in the morning to remove his Gallbladder. Bad thing was our insurance didn't kick in until the 1st of May. I tried talking to the Dr about the possiblity of him waiting until then, but the Dr acted like he needed to do it now. So Thursday morning I sent my Husband off to what was suppose to be routine laperscopic surgery to remove his GallBladder. It was only suppose to last an hour and a half. He went in at 9:45am, and by 12:30 I began to panic. I had not heard one thing from anyone. Finally after 1pm I told he was out in recovery. Somehow I missed the Dr and did not find out the details of the surgery. This sent me into a panic. One I didn't know what he went through, two the financial department started contacting me telling me where we sat on the bills, and three my girls were worried and could not see their dad. I also had planned a trip to Utah to see my baby sister graduate college. I was suppose to leave friday morning for that. As I sat there having a million different things go through my mind, it became overwhelming and I broke down. I felt bad for a mom at the school who had to come across me at the wrong time, and listen to my sobs. I also freaked my mom out when I called her and wouldn't stop crying. She had invisioned the worst. After going back to the Hospital I saw Justin, made the desicion to not go to Utah. Found out he went through the Evasive surgery, where they had to cut him open. From there it was a process to take one thing at a time. By Saturday they released him to go home, everything is looking really good and now just recovering. But we did find out finally from the Dr how bad it was. They tried the laperscopic way, but found out they couldn't do it. So they cut him open and delt with a very bad, inflamed gallbladder. The Dr basically said, It had been bad for a long time and he doesn't know how Justin didn't feel it. He also said, he didn't know how long Justin would of held on either. The Gallbladder was close to bursting and causing SERIOUS problems. I look back at all the anxiety and stress, especially with the money and realize you can't put a pricetag on someone's life especially one you love so much. I've went through so many emotions this past week, but the one that is the strongest is how much I truly am blessed to still have my Husband by my side.

Mass Update!!!

So everything has been super busy and crazy around here. I will do a small catch up and hopefully stay on top of my blog alot better!!! Ok So for the month of March- Justin started working at the new company last part of feburary. We made the desicion to buy our second vehical. Which I now am the proud owner of a 2006 Chrylser Town N Country Mini Van. I love it so much! It has everything I wanted, except its white..lol. Not much of a white vehical person..but oh well. We also want to add in a tv and dvd system for the girls. Justin also came out of the stone age and got a cell phone! Thought I would never see that day..lol! But he dropped head first into it and bought an Android as well..ha ha. Both of these new things came in handy when we had the unfortunate event of finding out that Justin's Grandma Barb was out here in California for a seminar and fell. She broke her femar and had to have it fixed. She was out in Santa Monica. Us being the only family close by came to the rescue and spent the next couple of weekends out there with her. Which under the bad circumstances was great cause we got to see her and spend time with her. As well as Grandpa Ron and Auntie K. From there we have done a couple car shows, busy with friends, and Justin celebrated his 31st birthday. His mom and sister came out for it and we partied it up with friends and family again. His sister would like to make this an annual thing. I loved spending time with them. As for April, we found out again we lost someone close to us. My father in laws, wives, dad passed away..which he has become like a grandparent to our girls. He was a sweet and loving man and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed! To top it off..we have Issy registered for Kindergarten the next year and transitioning Chelsey into Middle school. I have been taking workshops that prepare the parents for what they are about to take on... whew not sure I am ready for all this. But here we go.... Now onto Easter and more busy weekends! Oh and one last thing... I almost forgot.. Steel Tech a couple weeks ago came to Justin and offered his job back to him. After careful consideration of everything he has decided to go back to where he feels at home. He has been back there for almost 2 weeks now, and loves it! SO yep.....the last 2 months in a nutshell
