Issy's Obsession with Mike and his Corvette

So as I have posted before Issy has become a little attached to our friend Mike. Which he owns a yellow corvette. Now of course this car stands out on its own. But imagine if you were a little girl. This car stands out even more. All of us adults know that there is more than one vette ever made. But to Issy she sees a yellow vette..She thinks Mike!

Well we have a yellow vette that lives up the street. It just so happens that everyday when we walk down to get Chelsey from school, this vette is going up the street. So everyday Issy says Hi mike when the car passes by. Which is fine. Until she realizes that "Mike" isn't stopping or even saying Hi back. She now has began to throw fits about it. So today took an interesting twist. She saw the vette coming up. She started saying "Hi Mike" and then as it got closer and wasn't stopping she began to Yell STOP MIKE, STOP. With her hand stretched out to say stop as well. She then began to SCREAM very loudly and stomp her feet. By this time i am telling her its not mike..yet again. Just as it passes it makes a U-turn and comes back. The car pulls over, and I am panicking a little bit. I keep walking the girls toward the school. When the guy gets out and says Wait..I am very curious. He then begins to explain that he sees Issy's tamtrum everyday and everyday he wonders why. Because he notices it starts as he passes and then ends when he has gone up the road. So I explain to him that our friend has the same car and that she thinks that he is Mike. Which makes her sad when Mike doesn't wave or stop to say Hi. The guy laughed with me and said..Poor girl. Told me he would wave Hi for now on to make life a little easier on me and Issy..lol

But of course as she sees this guy get out of the car and talk to us, she realizes that he doesn't look like Mike. This was her response " No Mike.. shrugs her shoulders and walks off. So now it is a test to see if she remembers this..or if the yellow vette will always represent MIKE.

PUMPKIN CARVING TIME

Its that time again...Carving time! Last night we got together with our good friends Steve and Bri and carved some pumpkins. We got one for each girl, one for Justin and I to share and then one for Bri and Steve. For the last two years Chelsey has helped out cleaning the pumpkins. She absolutely loves to squish the guts between her fingers. I know crazy right! Because we all know how GIRLY Chelsey is. Doesn't seem to fit her normal behavior. But she loves it. Well this year we told Kylee and Issy they had to help out. Ky doesn't like it that much. She stuck it out for awhile and picked out the seeds for me, but gave up soon after. Issy was the funniest. She would put her hand in there and grab very fast and then shake it off her hand. The whole time saying "sticky, icky" then she would slowly put her hand in again and yank it out fast. She actually did most of the work. I was quite impressed. After all the pumpkins were gutted we turn them over to Justin to instruct him on how we want them carved. Each one of the girls tell him how he wants theirs done, and he tries very hard to accomadate them.

We had a mishap though on Issy's. She pulled out the eyes for her pumpkin. So now its one big cyclops..lol. Oh well. Maybe that is what she wanted to begin with. So while the Men (Justin and Steve) carved the pumpkins, I cooked dinner, and Bri cleaned the seeds so that I could bake them.

SO now we have some cute, festive pumpkins sitting out on our porch to celebrate Halloween. Here is a couple of pics from the event.

Kylee cleaning out her pumpkin. She is about to flick those seeds on Justin...lol. Some actually ended up inside his shirt pocket.
Chelsey and Issy starting to work on Chelsey's pumpkin. I believe Justin was just cutting out Issy's lid for her.

Chelsey took this picture for us..Thats why she is missing

Again..No Chelsey. We took these tonight, when we had no other photographer and also My kids have all decided they need to take turns taking the pictures. I have some interesting ones..lol

Council Run

So like I have said, one of Justin's hobbies is to modify his car and go show it at car shows. It's a hobby that releaves his stress as well as giving him some male bonding time. We all know that he needs that.. So this last weekend we got a friend to watch the girls so that we could get away and attend Council Run. For those of you who don't know what this is..let me explain. Council is a bunch of the car clubs in So. California that get together once a month for meetings to talk about previous and future shows, charities, and other events. Its away for us all to come together and see the different types of clubs and just overall have more friends. Every year Council puts together a 3 day run. We go and camp out, one day they have a car/truck show and the rest of the time we just hang out and have fun. Now of course these runs are mostly made up of "mini truckers" so things tend to get a little crazy..lol. They play lots of games, usually some sort of drinking game..Its fun to just stand back and watch these people and laugh at them making a complete fool of themselves..lol. Justin and i had so much fun, it was relaxing to get away and leave all our stress behind. Something I have been needing for awhile. Justin also walked away with 1st place in his class which is 4-door compact. We were very happy to receive our trophy and the recognition it brings to Justin and his hard work.
While there I tried very hard to make myself known and not just as Justin's wife. We have been apart of Council for a couple years now, and these people seem like an awesome group. But everytime I am present, I tend to shy up and just cling to Justin. This is one of my short comings that I wish I could change about myself. I wish I had the same self confidence as my husband has. Just to be able to walk into a group and talk to whoever and say whatever without worrying about what they think of me. I idolize this about my sweetheart. So this weekend I really tried. I still spent most of the time next to Justin, but when listening to people and the different conversations I did really try to join in. I came away from this weekend, with more friends, people knowing ME and not just as "Justin's wife", more knowledge on the workings of a "run", and also more knowldege on clubs and their tradtions. That is one thing I have came to realize. The different car clubs become a family in it self. They carry their own tradtions, rules, and they are very charity driven. If one of us was to get hurt or something bad was to happen, there is not one person in this car scene that wouldn't come help. Even though we are all made up of different "clubs" we all join together and make a big family. Of like every family there is some rivalery..lol. There are certain clubs that you keep at a distance from others..better that way..lol But all in all we had a good time. Our camp was one of the littler ones. There was Justin and I sharing with our friend Bryan and his lil Brother Tyler. But we spent a good amount of time hanging out with some good friends in another club, and also with the Council Officers. Here is a couple pics from the weekend. Oh..before I forget..Justin has never been a camper. This was basically his first experiance "tenting it" and might I say..I was very proud of him. He acted as if he had been camping all his life.

Chilling around the campfire saturday night. Jason, Mikey, Justin and a lil bit of Bryan.

Halloween havoc Part 2

Steve, Bri and I
My love and me chilling at the car show!
My Isa-boo and I posing for the camera
My Batgirl being all prim and proper. She was sitting in the car like this and I just had to snap a picture of her. It was funny, because while trick or treating there was a batman there. He came up to Kylee and said " hey batgirl I'll catch you later" and then his brother said "see you found your girlfriend..lol" Kylee was just all smiles and laughing about it!

Halloween Havoc Car Show

As some of you know Justin loves to modify his car and take it to car shows. Well last night was Halloween Havoc car show. We love to take the kids to this one. Because it gives the kids another chance to wear their costumes and trick or treat around to all the cars. Some of the guys really get into it and make their car all decked out in Halloween decor. Its crazy! This year my girls all chose not to be disney princess's, which I was totally shocked!. Well ok Issy was a pirate princess..lol. Chelsey chose to be a pirate, Kylee came across a batgirl costume and loved it, and Issy chose a pirate princess costume. She has a cute hat, but she wouldn't keep it on...darn! The girls had a blast. Our friends Steve and Bri came out and supported Justin and I. It was fun to walk around see all the different cars and trucks, and also let the kids trick or treat. Here is a couple pics from the festivities!

TRICK OR TREAT!!
Aarghh! Matey..lets trick or treat

Issy's phone call to Mike

Ok so a couple of weeks ago, Issy had out our older phone that we don't use anymore. We were sitting on the couch being lazy one sunday afternoon. When she decided to make a call to our friend Mike. We were sitting there, when all of the sudden Justin and I heard her say
"Hi Mike"
"Bye Mike"
She said this a couple times over and over. We were busting up laughing. So I decided to get out the cam-corder and video tape her having her convo with her buddy Mike. Well she of course figured out that I was taping her and stopped to say "cheese" to the camera. She thinks it's just a camera..lol. But I did manage to get her to talk a little more to him. So since we got the new laptop I was finally able to upload it to share it. Also so Mike could see his phone call with Issy:)
Hope you enjoy!

On friday Justin and I met up with my friend Jen and took the younger two girls and Jen's girls to a pumpkin patch. They had a small petting zoo, some kids rides, a jumper and one of those big slides for the kids to play on. As well as pumpkins of course. Lots and lots of pumpkins! The girls had a blast. They got to pet a couple different kinds of animals chickens, roosters, goats, rabbits, baby chickadee's, and a pig. Well the pig wasn't too easy to get ahold of. But they snagged him for a small second and the girls got to pet him for a quick second.

We are hoping to take Chelsey back there before Halloween is over, so that she can enjoy it too.

The bunny was so cuddly and soft. I didn't want to put her back.
Justin found a nice size rabbit. This one squirmed too much though.
Issy and I petting the chicken. Issy was a little scared to pet the animals at first especially the goats...lol

Kylee and her friend Heather on the swings. These girls have a blast together. But after a while Kylee got a little sick of going around and around. We were surprised we thought Issy would be the first to ask to get off. Nope, Kylee was.

Issy on the swings, she had alot of fun but made sure to always hold onto the chains at all times. She is so very cautious.

We have a few trees out front that the leaves have started to fall. Our yard was covered in them. So Friday afternoon Justin got out the blower and was trying to get the leaves all blown into a pile. But the kids weren't helping as much. They kept jumping and throwing the leaves everywhere. Justin finally told them, let me make one big pile and then you can jump in them. Well they gave him a couple minutes but decided they just couldn't wait. So here is a clip of them playing in the fall leaves while the Leaf blower is going in the background!

Haircuts from the Girls!

Ok well I learned my lesson from blogging during the middle of the day. So just as I had finished blogging about my lovely morning making pancakes, my kids decided to give me something else to blog about.
So I just had finished my last blog and had decided to check my email and that before doing some wife/mother duties. When Issy asked me to do her hair. She brought me the spray bottle and little rubberbands. Then I asked her to bring me a comb. She went and retrieved the comb for me. Much to my surprise it was full of hair. Issy hair!! I looked at it, and could tell that it had been cut. So then I sadly went through her hair to see where it came from. When I found it. As I combed on her right side a bunch more hair came out:(
It ended up being a small little section about 1/2 inch wide and cut about an inch from her scalp...I know it could of been so much worse! With Issy's hair you can't even see it. She has so much, that it won't be missed..lol. Just made me a little sad. I thought that was the end to the scissor saga. I found the scissors she used and took them away. End of story, right? Nope, unfortunately it wasn't!
Justin came home a little bit after that to eat lunch. When he walked in, I told Issy to tell daddy what she did.
This was Issy's response "nuttin, daddy" with a big smile! Justin just laughed and said ok,"What did she do?"
I proceeded to explain what she did and how I discovered it. At that point of time, Kylee decided to venture out from the toyroom, where she had QUIETLY been playing and watching cartoons. Yes I know..for all of you who are parents..when kids are quiet is when they are at their most troublesome times. Kylee walked into the room and right away I looked and said, whats going on with your bangs. Some of her hair was kind of sticking up in front like a wave effect. Thats when it hit me..AGAIN. Kylee had cut her bangs. Right in the dead center front!
We asked her what happened, and at first she tried to say Issy had cut her hair. But then we asked her again and she finally fessed up. This was the conversation with Kylee:

Kylee: Ok, ok I cut my hair
Mom: Why Ky, why would you do that?
Kylee: because Issy started it
Dad: Kylee your older, you should of known better
Kylee: but Issy brought the scissors to me, she started it
Mom: Kylee why didn't you bring me the scissors when Issy showed them to you?
Kylee: Oh I didn't think about that!
Dad: Well at least she is honest...lol

After that little speech, we had a hard time keeping a straight face. Kylee has always been known for those one-liners, little sayings, or just out right bold honesty! So from all of this, none of it is really that fixable. Issy's will grow, and not even be noticed by all her hair. While Kylee will have some wonderful pictures in the near future, with an interesting hairstyle. That is until they are long enough to trim and make her bangs look better. Sad thing with Kylee is we have worked so hard to grow her hair out since her alopecia case a year ago. Oh well back to square one...at least with the bangs...lol

Needless to say, all of my blogging will be done later in the evening for now on...lol

Ok this really doesn't show her cut job to well. But it was the best I could do. Its about the center area of her right side. A small little cut, but 1 inch from the roots. So what we see is a little bit of what she cut, the small pieces is what would normally be her long hair :(
Issy's long hair that I pulled out from combing through the area...So sad!
This is Kylee's bangs. Now they are so much shorter...lol
Here is a side view of Kylee's bangs that she cut. She did a nice little number on herself..lol
Her bangs at one point where down to her eyebrows, now they are different lengths. Ranging from barely pinchable to about an inch long.

Pancakes!

This morning, after we took Chelsey to school, the little ones decided they wanted pancakes. So we got out everything and started making them. Chelsey had received this little chef set for her birthday from her Grandma Corinne, and Kylee decided to use it in her absence. Ky helped me get the pancake mix and dump it into the bowl. Then I added the water and Kylee mixed it all up for me. Issy joined in when she could smell them cooking...lol.

Then Kylee took the camera from me and decided to snap a couple shots of me cooking. Now remember everyone, this is in the morning, and I haven't gotten ready for the day yet..lol.

I had to take some pics of the girls helping me make pancakes. It was so much fun. Kylee told me at the end that next time we need to add Choc. chips..lol. I agreed!

New Laptop

So at the beginning of August our Dell XPS laptop crashed. Yes what a sudden loss. We found out that it was the motherboard. Which as everyone knows, sucks because if you have your motherboard crash on a laptop you might as well buy a new one..lol. So in the process of obtaining a new one, our good friend Steve borrowed his laptop to us for a nice amount of time..Thanks Steve, I really appreciate it!
Well the laptop I ordered I asked for a colored cover. The color I picked however was on back order. But I did not know this until a month later, when they moved my shipment date back again another month. So after finding this all out, I canceled the order and put in a new order for a color that could be shipped right away:)
Well one week later my laptop was shipped and is now here. I love it! I now am the proud owner of an Inspirion 1525 laptop in RED!!! Its very pretty. I know, how girly of me!

Issy is a Big Girl!

So for the last two weeks Isabella has been potty-training. Two weeks ago I decided that I was done with diapers. I was NOT going to buy another box of them. I took Issy with me to Walmart and let her pick out a small pack of panties. She chose Dora, and was so excited. I then picked up another generic brand that was bigger. This way she got to pick out the ones she wanted, and also have a bunch to start out with. I told her...no more diapers, put on them panties and that was it.

The first two days were tough. She would leak and then come tell me. I went through so many panties that in those two days..lol. But if I was to put her in a pull-up, she viewed it as a diaper and just didn't care if she went in it. So the extra laundry was worth it. Over the course of the first week, she got the hang of it, and now knows when she has to go. She has even conquered going #2. Naps and nightime are still in pull-ups. I am just trying to get during the day completed. I believe I pretty much have her potty-trained!! Yay for Issy! She loves being a big girl and having her cute, pretty, and vibrant panties. She loves to show them off to our close friends. She is so proud that she is like her sisters.

Some of you know that Issy is a huge juice drinker. Ok its more a sugar-free kool-aid, but to Issy its juice. Well since potty-training, she doesn't drink as much and we have been able to get rid of Sponge Bob(her sippy cup). She drinks from a big girl cup and is now drinking more water as well from it..so thats a big Plus. Over all we are very proud of Issy! She wanted to share with everyone, what a big girl she is!

Today I took the two younger girls and met my friend Jen and her two girls at this really neat park in Norco. Norco reminds me of my small town that I grew up in. Because its a farming community, that has had the city grow around it. The stores still have horse posts in front to tie your horse to. No joke! I saw people still riding their horses down the road. They don't have sidewalks, they have horse trails.
The park is new and they have two big playgrounds. One is in the shape of a red barn, and the other is suppose to be the Old General Store (the green playground). It also had rock formations all around for the kids to climb on, as well as a little kids corral, and a place to play horse-shoes.
The kids had alot fun playing and climbing. I think we were there for a couple hours at least..lol.

Kylee is about to go down the Firemans pole...Yes even in her dress!
Isabella really enjoyed the slides at this park. She made me take tons of pictures..lol
Kylee is stylin' in her pink shades, while trying to push her friend Heather
It's an Issy size rock. Issy took my hand and walked me over to this rock so she could sit on it and get a kodak moment. I think my kids just love the camera!

Jen pushing both our girls, while I snap the pics. What a great team we make..lol
