Ky's field trip to the firestation

Last Tuesday Kylee's class went on a field trip to the firestation. I got the chance to go with, while my sister was out here. She watched Isabella for me. We got a tour of all the equipment and how it is used, the trucks and their different uses. Then we got a tour of the firestation and the living area of the firemen. As we were finishing our tour we had 10 minutes left and their alarm went off. So we had to exit while they jumped in the truck and left. What was cool was on the way back to the school we actually got to see the "call" they went to. An elderly woman had fallen from her wheelchair and they were helping her onto a stretcher to secure her. So the kids got to see that not only do they put out fires they also help with other emergencies too. It was a fun time.

They showed the kids that they live there too for 24 hrs at time and the kids were amazed that they had a full on kitchen and dining room. They also saw thier rooms, living room, and excersize room.
