Oxnard

So this last weekend we went up to Oxnard to visit some friends who live up there. We left Friday morning. Got up there just after noon and got to see their new house that they moved into. Then we ordered pizzas for lunch and took the kids and all to the beach. The area is gorgeous and the weather is perfect. It didn't get to hot or to cold at night. The kids played in between the small park on the beach, a small zipline and then of course the water. Miki and I both just got to sit back and relax...finally some mommy relaxing time. Afterwards we headed back to their house. We all just hung out and Miki made some killer chicken enchiladas. Saturday they got ready for a house warming party. We all pitched in to get everything set up. The guys bbq'ed hot dogs, chicken, and carne asada. Miki prepared a Macaroni salad, and potatoe salad. People brought chips, fruit trays and veggie trays. It was really fun. We got to meet their family and some of their other friends. Overall I think everyone had blast. We ended the night by the adults sitting out on the back patio area playing Dominoes, listening to music and having a couple drinks. Sunday morning Justin made breakfast for everyone. Then I got to work and cut and colored some hair. Finally Victor took me to their local swap meet. He couldn't believe i had lived in So. California for 6 yrs and never been to one before. It was deffinantly fun and I will be going back to another one sometime soon. I got a couple pairs of flip flops and my fav. mexican candy peanut marzapan. YUMMY! When we got back to the house it was time to clean up, pack up and head home. It was an enjoyable time for all of us. The girls each had someone they could hang with. Chelsey got along perfect with their son AJ, and daughter Erlinda. Ky hung out with Diego and gained a crush..ha ha. Issy and Lola were partners in crime. Maybe next time we can meet their other son Ruben who was not there.

The girls all waiting for their turn on the zipline

Issy took 2 tries to decide to ride the zipline. On the second time she finally did it with the help of Victor

Ha ha I couldn't resist taking this pic of Victor and his girly looking PINK drink. If you notice he also has his pinky finger sticking out.. very cute Victor

So their yard is a work in progress. When they moved in the grass was like as tall as the kids and hidden in it was a go cart, a bunch of chairs, and this swing set. Even though there wasn't much of the swing set left. The kids found ways to use it. Here is AJ playing on it and doing some tricks

Victor hard at work

Bbq'ing up some food, as well as we still had left over pizza from fridays lunch. So we decided we would try to see what it would taste like heated up on the bbq..It was GOOD

The girls in the morning with Tink. Lola and Issy are about 5 months apart and we're always together the whole weekend

Issy got a little hungry waiting for lunch so she ate her own pizza..ha ha. Nope just used the box as a plate for a slice she had

I was trying to keep in the shade, and so was Justin. Even though it wasn't that hot. We still got a little burnt. Lola, Miki's 5 yr old took this pic for me..thank you Lola

Trains, trains and more trains

Last Sunday we went to Orange Empire Train Museum in Perris for Bryan and Jen's little boys birthday. We got to mostly walk around and see all the different barns with trains and what they were used for. We also rode on a street car, and on a passenger train. We learned interesting history of trains. The girls loved it, and we all had fun. We also got to see our friends Harry and Mary and her little boy Joel. Been awhile, and we need to see each other more often.

Issy and I, she was a little nervous. She can be so cautious

Justin and Ky!

We rode on this train for a small 2 mile distance and back. It was also seen in the movie Changeling. The museum borrowed 2 of these, a water gallon train cart, and an engine to the movie. It was very cool to say that we rode on one that has been apart of a movie.

This is a train that is in one of their barns. It was owned before from a man who worked for Disney and on movies like Pinnochio and Lady and the Tramp. It also was told to us that Walt Disney got the idea to add a train to Disneyland from visiting this mans property and his trains on it.

This was a funeral car that was on display in the one barn

The guide also said that they had 3 street cars that were used in the L.A. area and also inspected and inducted by Shirley Temple. This was an ad in the Street car train

Jen made 150 cupcakes instead of doing a cake. She also had this on display in the Party caboose. She made a cupcake train. They were very good. I didn't get any pics of the birthday boy himself. He was too busy running around the area and looking at trains. He LOVES trains! But overall we had a fun time!

Concrete deep July cruise night

After we finished up at SCMTC's day at the park we went over to support Concrete Deeps monthly cruise night. It was just a relaxed chill cruise night to hang out and talk after everything that day. We all grabbed something to eat and then hung out the rest of the time. We had 4 people take trophies and again Club Par.

SCMTC Day at the Park

Saturday we went up to Rancho for Southern California Mini Truck Council's (SCMTC) Day at the park. They had a car show, kid games, and adult games. Everyone had so much fun. We took sandwiches, chips, and drinks. I also made some killer brownies for all my boys. They loved it. Brandon told me I'm going to make him fat...ha ha. Jesse also asked me if there was anything I can't do. I told him..I can't sew..my mother in law does that for me. They all laughed. The girls played some games like water balloon toss, 3 legged race, and wheel barrel. Chelsey paired up with Ky and Issy paired up with her friend Carter. Issy and Carter was so stinkin' cute in the races. They did a great job. We lost in the adult tug a war. But it was funny to watch. Then Alan and Mani took 2nd in the spin and run race. Most of our guys ended up placing. Justin took 1st place under construction car. Chelsey accepted an award on behalf of Bryan's little boy Nicholas who took 1st for kids bike. Of course we also took Club Par! It was an awesome day full of fun and laughs.

A song with alot of meaning!

I have always enjoyed this song but I've realized after being married to Justin for 10 yrs now...That this is one I truly feel is how I feel about him and our love. I can't imagine my life without him. I think back to the people who were in my life before and realize there is reasons why they didn't work out. There is a reason why my friend introduced Justin to me even though she didn't think we would last long as a couple. I love him so much and thank god every day for placing him in my life. We are perfect for each other, and we understand each other. Some people may not always understand and agree on how Justin and I live our life..but we do and we love it. I love you hun..more than you will ever know!

4th of July 2010

This year for the 4th we stayed at home. We went to Corona City's Parade the day before. Then Mike and Angie came over and bbq'ed with us. The girls chased each other around with squirt guns. Us 4 adults enjoyed a nice conversation. Then we had some delicious food and also went to Riverside City's firework display. All in all it was a pleasant day.

The other thing I wanted to mention is this was our 6th year in California. We moved out to Bakersfield 4th of July weekend 2004. Then the following year Justin took his job at Steel Tech in Corona and moved us down a month later. We have officially spent over half our marriage out here in California. It has grown on us and we have truly made our home out here. The friendships that we have made has become our family out here. Although I don't think I will ever find a 4th of July Celebration quite like my lil' home town of Mt. Pleasant. I guess with our friends we can make it at least a little more fun. Plus I can always go back every so often and get my fullfillment. Happy 4th everyone and remember why we still get to celebrate our freedom every year...I give great THANKS to the men and women who put their lives on the line of duty so that we can be free!

Justin and I celebrating our 6th year in California!

Riverside City Fireworks Show. It's nice because the park isn't too far from our house. They do a pretty good show.

Kylee and Chelsey laying out and watching the beautiful show above

Ha ha I think Mike looks like a little kid all happy with his sucker in his mouth. I think everyone was enjoying the show.

Our family at Riverside fireworks.

My love and I enjoying the fireworks!

Issy is a little scared of the fireworks. So I held her close and then she was ok.

Gorgeous Finale!

Angie was about to head home so I figured I would grab one last pic with her.
